Yesterday we spent a spectacular day trekking through the vast expanse of Golden Gate Park.
Whenever we’re in the park, we always visit our hairy friends at the Bison Paddock. At one time 10 female bison made their home here. Sadly, the herd has dwindled to five. They look small in these pictures, but they’re enormous and have wild eyes and we love them.
Afterward we headed to Ocean Beach and Land’s End, which lies to the west of the park. Pretty pastel condominiums overlook Ocean Beach.
I tried to take a good picture of the sparkling sun on the ocean, but it’s not as easy as I thought.
Two lovers on their first date (I think).
That unimpressive building in the distance is the once grand Cliff House.
Here’s my second attempt at girly girl for 2010. haha just kidding. :)

Such lovely photos. It’s looks so fresh and I love the lighting. I love going to the beach in the winter – I should do it more often! I also like the photo of the couple – what a quirky observation :)

These are such lovely photos; you capture the Bay beautifully! I don’t think I’ve ever trekked to Golden Gate Park (shame shame), I really must sometime because I had no idea they had bison there! I totally want to see some bison.
Y’know, I didn’t even realize that you live in the Bay Area (I saw your post on Pacifica a while back, but I didn’t know if you were a visitor or what as I have only recently stumbled upon your blog/began stalking it within the last few weeks) but now that I know, we should hang out sometime!
