Red Velvet Cupcake

01/12/2010 in snapshots

I loitered at Starbucks for an hour after work and nursed my soy green tea latte while I nibbled on a red velvet cupcake. My current read is Julia Child’s memoir, My Life in Paris. This Starbucks is usually a mob scene but it was quieter than usual, so it was nice to be able to read a few chapters without any obnoxious rowdy teenagers screaming for attention in the background.

It wouldn’t happen to be the Starbucks on Portola would it? Thats the one I always go to, and the teenagers from SOTA high school are out of control. If you like the cupcakes you should try the mini donut with crystal sugar on it, sooo good!)

Sounds like my kind of afternoon :) I’d never seen a red velvet muffin until I came across your blog. Maybe we just don’t have them in England! Looks so tasty though… mmm

I have a date with my local Starbucks tomorrow night. I’ve never tried their cupcakes, I always have a lemon loaf. Come to think of it, I don’t think my Starbucks sells cupcakes. :( That sure looks yummy.
