Pink cake is pretty, no? I baked this cake today. It out a little homely, but it smelled really good, so we decided to put it out of its misery and eat it.

We have a retro O’Keefe & Merritt stove/oven and for the life of me, I didn’t know how to turn it on. I had already mixed my pink cake mix and was ready to bake. Unfortunately, setting the knob from Off to 350 degrees didn’t do anything. After a lot of research on the Internet, we finally found instructions and a magic Reset switch located in the lower left panel beneath the grill.

oh rthat is so pretty. AND it reminded me i have to make my annual red velvet cupcakes for joe tonight. i love how sparsely sprinkled it is. i am going to copy you!

my dad also bought mom her favorite chocolate moist cake for v-day…and it was so funny cuz before my dad gave her the cake, she had no idea and she was complaining and looking for chocolates from dad…”where’s my chocolate? it’s supposed to be v-day!’ LOL.

It turned out so pretty! I love Betty Crocker cake mixes, although I they don’t have that many available here. I should finally make the blueberry cupcakes I have a mix for in my cupboard.
