Two months ago, I ordered some Moo mini cards for the blog. I thought it would be convenient to have *blogger cards* handy while taking photos inside businesses. Some business owners have a no-photography rule; they may fear that their marketing tactics will be copied, while others may fear that scoundrels will counterfeit their designs (ie. counterfeit t-shirts, toys, etc.). I have been stopped from taking pictures many, many times.
My policy is to take photos only so that I can share them with you guys. With this in mind, I was really excited to get my cards — or what I like to call, my blogger credentials, which I would give to these skeptical shopkeepers to reassure them that I only wish to promote them.

But sadly, my Moo order never arrived. Well, technically, it did. USPS tracking indicates that the package arrived at my local post office and that a notice was left in my PO box. But when I stopped at the counter to pick it up, the clerk told me that they had lost my package! Believe me, it took a few days to get over that fiasco.
Rather than reordering, I remembered what Carrie of Wish Wish Wish had used for her business cards. She ordered custom stamps from Nothing Elegant and stamped away at manila tags and used them as her blogger cards. She inspired me to do the same and here they are!

One custom order comes with two stamps and a set of blank pastel cards of different colors. Though I like them a lot, I’m concerned that they don’t quite exude *blogger credentials”, but oh well. They are mighty cute. :D

I liked them so much that I ordered custom stamps for the shop!
How about you guys? What are you using for your blogger cards?

Too bad you didn’t receive the moo cards, I was thinking about getting some myself, but maybe not…
I do really like the stamps, I agree that it may be a little less credible, but they still look pretty professional.
I myself don’t really have business cards for my blog, I have printed some for my shop, but it’s also a different format and I need to make some others with my email adress and name. Maybe I’ll even make a combined one for the shop and my blog.
Love the business card holder!

Oh no how disappointing! Your Moo Cards were just perfect! Hopefully the package will turn out eventually… The same happened to me a few months ago: the envelope arrived EMPTY. But a few days later, everything reappeared and was delivered to my friend. Weird.

Oh my, what a great idea. I’ve been toying around with the idea of getting blogging business cards but just haven’t totally settled into the idea. However, I think this stamp idea is a great one. Thanks a million for sharing. Going to check it out right now.
Also, boo to your moo.com cards getting lost. I’ve heard such good things about them too.
Oh, that is so horrible. I truly despise when things get lost in the mail.
I think your solution is so stinking cute!! I love the idea and I’m going to check it out.
I’ve been thinking about getting cards printed. I just want to narrow down what I want as my picture on them. Like should I use just my blog name or should I include one of my header drawings? I think I might have to post about it and have everyone help me decide. I’m too fickle.
XOXO
Your blogger cards are so cute! I’ve yet to make any for mine, I don’t feel like I’m qualified enough for one lol!
I do love the one that you sent together with the lula mag too, it was so colourful and pretty:)

your blogger cards are absolutely wonderful and it totally reflects this quirky blog of yours. it’s all very lovely, babe. I don’t have any blogger cards as yet cos I don’t really see a need for me to have it, unlike you. hehe. :) if I do have, they’ll prolly just sit in my cupboard and that’s pretty much where it’ll stay. x
Hey Katrina! I’m in San Francisco too! I actually found your blog through THE SF STYLE. I have been thinking of making a business card for the longest time, but didn’t know where to get them printed. So thanks to your post, I have some idea! Good deals too! I’ll be needing a business card soon, since I’m a filmmaker, I need to make contacts.
Your blog is amazing! Maybe if you’re interested, we could do a blogger meetup? :)

I’m so glad you posted this about the stamps… I recently bought something on etsy and their logo/shop name was stamped on some packaging. I probably could have emailed them, but never got around to it. So, thank you!! Also, so sorry about your moo cards. What a shame!

Oh, I’m so glad you posted this. I’ve been looking everywhere for a stamp for my blog. I recently ordered something on etsy and they had a shop stamp as well. I never followed through with asking them where they bought theirs. Thank you! And, so sorry to hear about your moo cards–what a shame.

Great, great idea. I love the quality of stamps, and, with your cute illustrations on these, they really look top notch. I’ll be comparing these prices (on Nothing Elegant) to my local shoppe, best believe!
I’ve been using buttons for my blog, and I notice people put them on their backpacks and coats. I like the idea of a card, though. Maybe something with spot UV coating? hmmm…!
PS. I just realized that’s not your illustration, but it’s CRAZY how much it matches your brand!
Your new cards are too cute. I have cards but I have out grown them. I’m on the lookout for new ones. I think blogger cards are great. I include them with notes to friends. I also added them to our last batch of “We’ve Moved” cards. I think your stamp ones are super cute and I hope your moo moo ones arrive soon. That would give you a good reason to buy a second card holder. Woo! Hoo!
hugs,
Kat

It never occurred to me to use Blogger Cards, what a great idea! So many times I wish to photograph inside of a store but I’m scared (and shy) but this would give me alittle extra confidence – and traffic! Thanks for the idea!
