I purchased my very first copy of Frankie Magazine (Issue #34) last Friday and I tell ya, the magazine is a gem from cover to cover. I felt inspired by the various layouts and I thought that the styles they implemented for print would look fantastic online. And so, I created the Photoshop brushes: dotted/diamond borders and rectangles with rounded corners.
The circles with dotted borders were inspired by the dotted transparent circles in a Bissel PRO Dry ad in the November 2008 issue of Domino Magazine. As you can see, I’ve gone dot mad!
Dot Your Dots (17 MB) Web Graphics includes:
- 1 dotted circle border (abr)
- 1 solid rectangle with rounded corners + diamond border (abr)
- 6 dotted/diamond rectangular borders with rounded corners (abr)
- 4 solid rectangles with rounded corners (abr)
- 13 PNG files of circles with dotted borders (9 circles per file)

Dear Katrina
These brushes are sooo luuuvely! Don’t mean to bother you, unfortunately the seem not to work properly with Photoshop Elements 8.0.
When selected they always have a huge size >2000 pixels and on the first click they don’t work. On the second click or when pulling over an image, they randomly appear on the image and several frames at once.
Just thought I give you quick feedback – maybe you haven’t made it for Elements, but for the ‘real’ PSE users ;-)
I think they look terrific!
