These Scallop Border Overlays supplement the first Pixel Pointers tutorial I made in April showing how to add scallop-edged borders to a photo. One of my readers, Janna Jennings, taught me a simpler way to make these scalloped borders using clipping masks. (Thanks, Janna! By the way, I promise to update the tutorial with a screencast in due time.)
So, I’ve made 15 PSD files in 5 different sizes for you guys: 4×6, 5×5, 5×7, 8×8, 8×10, and each size has 3 border variations. These editable PSD files can be downloaded as Premium Content for PuglyPixel Members .
I’ve also created corresponding PNG files in 6 different colors: aqua, black, gray, yellow, pink, and white. These overlays (90 PNG + 3 color-picker PSD files) would be useful for those of you who don’t have Adobe Photoshop. The entire PNG set can also be downloaded by Pugly Pixel Members as Premium Content. A portion of this set is available as a free download for all. All the files are high-res, 300 DPI.
