Here’s another minimal layout for you guys: sweet and simple Lemon Meringue. This is one of my favorite layouts. I don’t know about you, but I love having a small sidebar banner and moving the content straight to the top.

- left sidebar orientation
- no menacing post image drop shadows
- post text and image alignment (optimal size = 625 pixels)
- styled titles, post footers, and blockquote
- design checked for consistency on multiple browsers and platforms
My friend, Elle, started a new blog. I immediately fell head over heels for her beautiful photos at Everything Reminds Me of You and I think you will, too. Anyhow, she used the Lemon Meringue layout and she did wonders customizing it and making it her own. ♥

Awesome , I finally did it! I downloaded the shortcake and it worked!! Now I just need to figure out how to move my tool bars off the inner background to the outer background and I will be set!! Thank you Katrina your the best!!

i love both the layouts so much i seem to be having trouble using them?…when i try to upload the template it says it cant be used due to not being formated well…yet i see all these other commenters who seem to have had luck. any ideas?
