At last, we arrive at Part 3 of the Star Dust series (aka. my fascination with shiny stuff) and this time, I’m going to show you how to make your own glitter textures photographed from genuine glitters. I made my own glitter paper by sprinkling glitter over adhesive sheets and then I photographed them. I did this because I wanted to compare how photographed glitter fares in comparison to the glitter textures we made in Photoshop a few weeks ago.
I think the PS glitters did pretty well in this comparison. Overall, the PS glitters appear less saturated than the genuine glitters and because they’re less saturated, it’s hard to match the darker shades of the genuine glitters. But apart from that, the PS glitters make a fine substitute.
If you want to make your own glitter paper, all you need are some adhesive sheets, glitter, and a container to catch the excess glitter.
As a bonus, my premium access peeps can download the 16 multi-colored glitter textures I made. I also included the 6 gold textures that I photographed with directional light (one of them was used to create The August Break logo!).
If you don’t have premium access, feel free to download the free glitter round samples. ♥
