Photoshop: Post Photo Layouts (how-to-use screencast)

Blog Photo Templates

Hi everyone, here’s the screencast I promised that shows how to use Pugly Pixel’s blog photo templates. I’m using Blog Photo Templates (Part 7) in the demo, but you can watch this video and apply what you learn to customize the other photo templates you may already have.

In addition to learning how to use the templates, you will learn how to do other basic operations in Adobe Photoshop:

  • use clipping masks
  • resize images
  • add and resize text
  • layers and visibility
  • layer styles (ie. drop shadows and borders)
  • resize a document
  • save for the web

If you haven’t done so already, you’re welcome to download the latest freebie, Blog Photo Templates (Part 7).

Best viewed fullscreen, HD.

Thank you for the music, Noel Stephen & the Darlings!

Thank you so much for posting another song, Katrina! And thanks for the great tutorial, too. I’m going to send you a link to my new blog soon–I just started it last week, and I want to tweak it a little more. I could never have made it look so nice without your tutorials and membership extras! You are amazing! :)

Katrina, thanks so much for posting this! I’m new to photoshop and found your tutorial so helpful! I’ve already used some of your templates on my blog. If I can do it: (http://shecollects.blogspot.com/2011/09/sun-and-song-photo-shoot.html) anyone can :).

Thank you so much for your tutorials. I have CS3 and only had a basic basic class where I didn’t learn anything! Your tutorial really helped me out. I’m so excited because I’m using one of your templates for tomorrow’s post. Thank you!!!
