Pastels and brush strokes are a common graphics trend in magazines and online catalogs. You only have to look at Nylon, Anthropologie’s email newsletter, and last month’s British Vogue to see what I mean.
I’ve received some questions about where to find paint and watercolor-inspired graphics. After all, watercolor textures make great backgrounds and paint daubs and brush strokes make pretty labels for post collages. Luckily, there are plenty of free resources to accomplish this look. For example, the background that I used in this Fab Font post was a free resource courtesy of Lost and Found. The brushes that I used in a post showing how to Mobilize Your Blog are free brushes from Blog.SpoonGraphics. And, the brushes I used in the image above are from Fudge Graphics. You’ll find a full list of my favorite resources after the jump.
By the way, aren’t these Rachel Antonoff oxfords adorable? They remind me of Adeline’s foxy kicks.
