I realize that it’s officially Tuesday morning. I was really hoping to get this post up before midnight, but oh well, here it is. It’s my Much Love Monday submission:

I snail mail.

Anna from Much Love sent me a postcard for my participation

Blogger Cards

February 23, 2010

Two months ago, I ordered some Moo mini cards for the blog. I thought it would be convenient to have *blogger cards* handy while taking photos inside businesses. Some business owners have a no-photography rule; they may fear that their marketing tactics will be copied, while others may fear that scoundrels will counterfeit their designs (ie. counterfeit t-shirts, toys, etc.). I have been stopped from taking pictures many, many times.

Lost Moo Cards

my lost Moo cards

My policy is to take photos only so that I can share them with you guys. With this in mind, I was really excited to get my cards — or what I like to call, my blogger credentials, which I would give to these skeptical shopkeepers to reassure them that I only wish to promote them.

New Cards

But sadly, my Moo order never arrived. Well, technically, it did. USPS tracking indicates that the package arrived at my local post office and that a notice was left in my PO box. But when I stopped at the counter to pick it up, the clerk told me that they had lost my package! Believe me, it took a few days to get over that fiasco.

Rather than reordering, I remembered what Carrie of Wish Wish Wish had used for her business cards. She ordered custom stamps from Nothing Elegant and stamped away at manila tags and used them as her blogger cards. She inspired me to do the same and here they are!

New Cards

One custom order comes with two stamps and a set of blank pastel cards of different colors. Though I like them a lot, I’m concerned that they don’t quite exude *blogger credentials”, but oh well. They are mighty cute. :D

New Cards

I liked them so much that I ordered custom stamps for the shop!

How about you guys? What are you using for your blogger cards?

Blythe Valentine

February 14, 2010

I bought a Blythe show ribbon from Karli’s shop, The Gnome Hut. I got it for myself because I thought it would make an adorable brooch.

The Gnome Hut - Valentine's Cards

I also bought a set of Vintage Blythe-sized Valentine’s cards. They’re going to make a great addition to my wall.

They’re so cute they make my heart melt.

The Gnome Hut - Valentine's Cards

Karli realized I was buying the Blythe show ribbon for myself, and was optimistic that I would have my own Blythe doll someday, so she made me a life-sized show ribbon to match my future dollie.

The Gnome Hut - Valentine's Cards

She also sent me this cute floral brooch. Thank you, Karli — I love it all! :D
